Shipping Foreman

The Shipping Foreman is responsible for operational functions related to the receipt and distribution and organization of products from the warehouse.

The Shipping Foreman is responsible for operational functions related to the receipt, distribution and organization of products from the warehouse.

The Shipping Foreman will primarily focus on: 

• Physical organization of warehouse spaces.
• Offloading and receiving inventory from external warehouses.
• Loading of goods for distribution to external warehouses and customers.
• Receipt from and distribution of goods to the production department.
• Recording and reporting all movements of product in and out of the warehouse during assigned shift.
• Preparing shipping related documents and reports and distributing same.
• Monitoring fleet availability and reporting on any challenges found.
• Managing drivers and driver’s assistants.
• Supervising an assigned warehouse team.
• Ensuring that cargo handling equipment is properly maintained in an operationally ready state.

In order to perform these duties to the highest level the ideal candidiate will possess:   

• Associate degree in Logistics
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience working in a warehouse environment in which FIFO was practiced.
