The Trainee Technician will work with a team of technicians to learn the skills and competence of a technician in the digital security field. They will be assessed at frequent intervals to determine work ethics, attitude, ability, and willingness to learn and levels of competence to carry out routine functions. They will work closely with experienced technicians to learn best practices and gain hands on experience.

The trainee will work closely with the Senior Technician or the Installation Manager to learn a range of functions. These include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with installation and configuration of security systems, access controls, intrusion detection systems.
• Assist in performing maintenance, troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Willingness to learn.
• Present with a good attitude towards work

• Approachable with a positive and professional work attitude and ability to function effectively as part of a team.
• Attention to details.
• Highly self-motivated and flexible with a solution-oriented approach to work
• Work may be required to go beyond standard work hours as the need arises.

• A high school diploma or equivalent school leaving certificate.
• A basic understanding of digital security concepts, Information technology, electrical installation would be an asset but not a necessity.
