Provide technical, management and supervisory support to the HSE and Logistics Manager.

Provide technical, management and supervisory support to the HSE and Logistics Manager. Assist in the management, development, implementation, and maintenance of the Company’s Integrated Management System in accordance with STOW and any other agreed standard.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • To implement and maintain integrated management system for the safe and effective operations of all activities within the company’s Network. 
  • To promote a proactive and transparent safety culture within the organisation and network. 
  • Assess and work with the teams to ensure all outstanding incident investigations are completed and actions assigned. 
  • Maintain Integrated Management System in accordance with STOW Certification 
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental legislations and other required regulatory requirements. 
  • Proactively identify hazards, assess health, safety, and environment risks, and recommend risk reduction measures. 
  • Conduct visits to Company areas to verify and assure conformance to the company’s Management System requirements by employees, dealers, customers, contractors, and visitors in relation to health, safety, and environmental standards/regulations. 
  • Conducts audits and inspections of the work environment, machinery and equipment at the Company’s, Dealers and Clients/Customers facilities relative to all HSE issues; and to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company’s policies and procedures. 
  • Develop and coordinate the delivery of HSE training programmes to the Company’s staff in accordance with the training matrix. 
  • Conducts safety meetings with employees of the company, EMJ and the company’s operated Service Stations. 
  • Improve and promote the safety culture throughout the company’s Network. 
  • Ensure implementation of safe systems of work at all service stations and project job sites. 
  • Support line management in the implementation of procedures and solutions to reduce negative HSE impact. 
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance, develop and execute an action plan for implementing improvements according to the Company’s activities. 
  • Support and provide HSE data for the management review process. 
  • Manage HSE metrics and present findings and recommendations to the management review team. 
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, safety management, environmental or physical science; or equivalent professional designation or qualification. 
  • Minimum of four (5) years experience in the HSE field with two (3) years energy sector experience. 
  • Certified ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor Training, technical knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 auditing will be an asset. 
  • Knowledge of OSH Act Trinidad & Tobago.
  • A technical knowledge of HSE legislation, industry practice and standards, systems design and implementation
