The Assistant Accountant job duties include working closely with the accounting head to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements are met, process accounts payable and receivable including generating invoices for clients. Ultimately, the Assistant Accountant's responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with day-to-day finance and accounting operations including journal entries, general ledger, trial balance and payroll
  • Preparation of monthly and yearly consolidated financial statements
  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
  • Update and maintain the general ledger
  • Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
  • Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
  • Prepare, review, reconcile and issue bills and account statements according to company procedures and set up and manage the payroll function

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with proven accounting experience working for multi-jurisdictional Professional services firm
  • Working towards professional accounting designation would be advantageous
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar field
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Experience with Xero/QuickBooks, MS Office applications
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

Salary: US$50,000-US$65,000 per annum plus benefits.
