As a Compliance Officer, you will have responsibilities across all aspects of Client Compliance and Anti Money Laundering (AML). Reporting to the Compliance Head, you will be taking on AMLCO, MLRO and DMLRO appointments for assigned client entities. You are responsible for ensuring the business is in compliance with both global and local laws, rules and regulations. Other responsibilities include:

  • Review, interpret, and advise on relevant laws and industry best practices pertaining to AML
  • Ensure that all company activities and operations are carried out in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Keep abreast of regulatory, legislative and best practice changes, including possible impacts
  • Assist in identifying and reporting suspicious activity
  • Write procedures, develop forms, keep such procedures and forms up to date with new developments
  • Review internal compliance procedures on a regular basis
  • You will act as the point of contact for any other relevant regulatory authorities

Requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years compliance-related work experience in a financial or professional services institution
  • Recognized compliance qualification preferred (CAMS or similar)
  • Prior experience acting as an AML Officer
  • Detailed understanding of the laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to AML
  • Compliance monitoring experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written & oral)


Salary: $110-150k USD per annum, plus benefits
