Responsibilities


 

  • To ensure adequate training of all staff in the principles of food safety requirements.

  • Facilitate and coordinate quarterly Group Food Safety audits.

  • Conduct independent audits of food carriers (trucks, vans, trailers) and prepare reports detailing the corrective action.

  • Audit container loading and off-loading process on a monthly basis to ensure that they conform to food safety standards.

  • Ensure that all food safety measures, KPI (key performance indicator) charts are provided on time – Non-Conformance and Customer Complaint (trend and analysis)

  • Lead FSSC Maintenance and Surveillance systems and procedures.

  • Advise Quality Assurance Manager and respective Production Manager of violations of food safety and good manufacturing practices.

  • Arrange and ensure that pest control services are scheduled and performed as required for all areas.

  • Liaise with Production Managers and Sanitation Contractor to schedule weekend sanitation activities according to the sanitation master schedule.

  • Conduct weekly sanitation audits of the Company’s premises (both internal and external at all three facilities) ensuring adherence to Food Safety principles (personnel practices, storage, housekeeping etc)

  • Verify the accuracy of and/or approve all documentation related to Food Safety

  • To review all installation and design of equipment (new) in terms of its impact on food safety.

  • To supervise the Sanitation department to ensure all janitorial, external sanitation and internal sanitation for general facility is conducted as per schedule and standard of work.

  • Schedule regular meetings to address concerns and change management by staff.

  • Oversee manpower utilization, and performance management of the Sanitation department

  • Plan, schedule and coordinate the daily operations of the sanitation department

  • Monitor the performance of subordinates

  • Provide technical advice, guidance and on the job training for subordinate personnel so as to create and maintain effective levels of productivity

  • Identify and investigate operational or production discrepancies and initiate corrective action as required.

  • Provide and/or prepare written and verbal reports to management as requested or required.

  • Perform other related duties as required by the job function

  • Ensure 100% of Human Resources Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure 100% compliance with HSE guidelines and processes

  • Ensure 100% compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety standards.
