HR Assistant
Job Role and Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls to directed to the HR representative
Post/Upload Job Advertisements on Caribbean Jobs
Post Job Advertisements in the Gleaner
Screen resumes and shortlist candidates for interviews
Schedule interviews for shortlisted candidates
Maintain & update physical and electronic employee files
Handle all leave requests and update employee sick, maternity and vacation leave in company software
Prepare memos and advisories
Prepare job and recommendation letters requested by staff
Prepare employment letters and job contracts for new staff
Assist with orientation for new staff
Any other tasks assigned by the manager that may not be outlined in this list
Qualifications Experience and Skills Required:
Associate Degree in Human Resource Management/Development
Proven experience in human resources
Excellent knowledge of Jamaica Labour Laws would be an asset
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail
Good time management skills
