PROJECTS MANAGER

 

 

Moon Palace Jamaica is seeking to engage a suitable Projects Manager to join our dynamic Management team.

Requirements:

  • At least three (3) years’ work experience in the same or a similar capacity
  • Degree in Projects/Engineering/Construction or equivalent
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish

The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in the following:

  • AutoCAD
  • Construction budgeting
  • General repair, plumbing, painting, HVAC or electrician
  • The Acts and Regulation of the country within the tourist sector for maintenance
  • Broad Engineering Supplier Base knowledge
  • Purchasing processes to be able to interpret them in the Jamaican and Mexico law
  • Land documents and permits, research on market studies with financial estimates to determine if the project is viable

 Key Portfolio Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic upkeep throughout the property for all rooms and common areas
  • Maintains basic upkeep of all areas by ensuring all furniture, fixtures, door locks and electrical equipment are in working order
  • Make systematic checks on all guest room electrical appliances, circuits, televisions, refrigerators, and light fixtures
  • Be familiar with all major shut off stations including water, electric, sprinkler, fire alarm
  • Report requests for major repairs to Managing Director as well as Corporate office
  • Completes Preventative Maintenance program checklist and maintenance records
  • Assist Managing Director & Safety & Security Manager in determining capital requests and managing contracts for capital projects for Safety & Security
  • Perform duties in accordance with the Public Health Authority, NEPA, TPDCo regulations etc. for good Customer Service and Guest Satisfaction
  • Respond to staff and guests request for immediate repairs (especially the ones that are deemed critical)
  • Oversee all projects including external worker’s assignment to ensure the task is completed based on the request made by the company
  • Liaise with Purchasing department for the payment of local and internal items required for repairs.
  • Ability to work with architects and engineers for the design.
