REPORTS TO:Chief Executive Officer

LOCATION:Head Office, Chaguanas

POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the B2B Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing effective business to business (B2B) strategies by actively pursuing sales opportunities with other businesses in order to achieve aggressive business growth targets and revenue generation. The incumbent will manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to preparing proposals and presentations as well as negotiating with clients and maintaining ongoing account management on behalf of the company.

The main areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  •  Work with the Chief Executive Officer in the development and execution of B2B strategies to achieve business growth targets and revenue generation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s portfolio of products and keep updated on new items or changes to existing items.
  • Refine and uphold the key performance indicators that speak of the efficiency of the B2B operations including but not limited to sales revenue, sales conversion rate, lead to customer ratio, customer retention rate, etc.
  • Review and action weekly and monthly reports on a regular basis including but not limited to sales analysis, status reports, customer issues, etc.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our competition through external research and be able to share this information with key stakeholders in order to maintain the company’s competitive advantage and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Monitor innovative solutions and report on the Return on Investment (ROI) to measure the effectiveness and profitability of new business sales strategies.
  • Work with the Chief Executive Officer to establish sales objectives and forecast and develop sales targets, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new clients.
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by continually assessing and improving sales strategies to maximize results.
  • Identify potential clients through market research, industry events, and referrals, and create and maintain a sales pipeline of leads and prospects.
  • Contact suitable key prospects at target companies that may benefit from the company’s products with the view of introducing the company’s portfolio.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Lead negotiations with clients and use cross-sell and up-sell techniques to increase potential sales, negotiating terms, pricing and contracts with clients to close deals and secure orders.
  • Work with the Marketing and Ecommerce Manager to implement sales initiatives to maximize revenue generation.
  • Work with the Chief Executive Officer and the Buying & Category Management department to expand successful product lines and implement successful exit strategies for unsuccessful unpopular merchandise.
  • Develop an understanding of present and future shifts in customer behavior and expectations and make recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer in order to successfully execute strategies, enhancing the customer experience.
  • Drive and maintain the company’s customer-first culture when dealing with customer queries or complaints, ensuring resolution in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Cultivate and maintain active relationships with customers by establishing trust and confidence with the customers.
  • Adopt a leadership role within the business in conjunction with other members of the management team and take ownership for executing company direction and strategy.

Responsible for any other tasks as assigned by Manager and/or Director.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field of Sales, Retail and/or Marketing.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process.
  • Proven experience with retail innovative solutions and CRM programs and other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools such as Microsoft Nav is considered an asset.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and related applications.
  • Valid Driver’s Permit and working vehicle to travel to various locations.
