INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS SPECIALIST

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining labour relations programmes, policies and procedures across the group. He/she will also be responsible for developing and ensuring healthy work relationships.

Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:

• Participating in strategic and operational discussions on industrial relations issues, priorities and processes.
• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Supporting the group-wide preparation of plans, policies, documents and reports that build and refine the company’s industrial relations framework.
• Knowledge of and interpretative skills pertaining to labour laws across the Caribbean.
• Assessing overall employee relations through careful analysis and implementation of innovative changes to improve morale, efficiency and performance.
• Supporting the adherence to occupational health and safety legislation obligations.

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business/related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Five (5) years of experience in a position of responsibility and supervisory duties.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, counselling and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
