Security & Car Park Attendant

Overview

Trotters Restaurant Group Limited is seeking a highly competent Security & Car Park Attendant to join our team at Trotters Restaurant, Gulf City. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience as a security officer or guard, as well as training in self-defense and first aid. He or she will have a sharp eye with quick reaction time in the detection of any suspicious behavior, and prevention of theft or vandalism and will champion the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Be visible and observant at all times, greeting staff, guests, and any person conducting business with the restaurant in a courteous and attentive manner.
• Escort customers and staff to their vehicles, to ensure their safety.
• Direct vehicles to available parking spaces, identify possible risks in the car park and resolve conflict where it arises.
• Provide customer assistance such as giving directions or handling wheelchairs.
• Patrol the restaurant’s parking areas and immediately inform the Restaurant Manager of any suspicious behaviors, vehicle damage or theft.
• Ensure the parking areas are kept clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized.
• If necessary, provide support to customers experiencing car-related issues and assist by contacting motorist assistance.
• Patrol the restaurant premises keenly monitoring the entrances and exits.
• Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry and restraining trespassers.
• Investigate and take the appropriate action to resolve security incidents or emergencies such as disturbances or theft.
• Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately.
• Complete reports as required, including relevant information such as observations, damage to property and surveillance footage.
• Assist the management team with implementing and enforcing policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications

• Security Guard Training / Certification (preferred)
• First Aid and CPR Training (preferred)
• 5 CXC General proficiency level subjects including English Language and Mathematics
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience
• 2 recommendations from past employer and/or training institute
• Police Certificate of Character
• Valid Driver’s permit

• May be subject to taking random drug and alcohol testing.
• Must maintain personal appearance and hygiene.
• Work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
• Must have a working cell phone.

 Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand for a long period of time and be able to stay alert throughout your shift.   
• Must be physically able to defend themselves.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, to ensure the restaurant security and car park operations are well-managed.
