Security Manager

The Security Manager will oversee the security operations of the organization and develop security strategies, implement security procedures, and supervise security officers and guards.

The opportunity:

  • Full-time position
  • Responsible for Security Services operating at two Hospital Centres in the Turks and Caicos Islands

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of security operations and driver services at both Hospital Centres.
  • Deliver Security Services in line with Contractual Requirements.
  • Ensures completion of Monthly Key Performance Indicators and Reports in line with contractual requirements.
  • Works cohesively with both Hospital Senior Management and Turks and Caicos Island Police as required.
  • Ensure competent security supervisors and guards are employed.
  • Ensure government regulations are adhered to by the company ensuring all documentation should be kept up to date at all times
  • Ensure all security guards are properly trained and records of their certification are kept up to date.
  • Ensure the security team is properly trained on how to carry out their daily functions which include report and statement writing.
  • Completing Periodic evaluation of each person on the security team.
  • Ensure audits and security surveys are done to stay proactive.
  • Ensuring duties are properly delegated and guards are held accountable.
  • Coordinating responses to emergencies and alarms as well as compiling and maintaining incident reports.
  • Ensure electronic surveillance/Cameras are monitored and proper record keeping is maintained.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and security industry regulations.
  • Works with associated Hospital Committee Members pertaining Environmental Health and Safety, Disaster & Emergency Committee, Prevention of Workplace Violence Committee.
  • Supports Training Team pertaining to security-related in-house Training and Emergency Codes.
  • Controlling the security operations budget, monitoring expenses and documenting processes.
  • Participate in Security and Safety Audits and Inspections
  • Conduct Safety Risk Assessments and make associated recommendations for policy and procedural improvements.
  • Interact with other department heads to determine their security needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years in a managerial position in Security Services
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field essential
  • Masters Degree in related field preferred
  • Must be flexible with workload and schedule availability
  • Detailed oriented with keen observation skills
  • Good communication skills including verbal and written
  • High integrity standards
  • Excellent people skills
  • Excellent IT skills and report writing
