KPMG in Jamaica seeks to identify Assistant Officers, Engagement Management (EMA). The role requires a strong customer service orientation and academic knowledge in or working with accounting.
OVERVIEW:
KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). The Clients’ Finance and Accounting is expanding operations at JESS to support the Engagement Management (EMC) process area. Team members within the delivery center work with the Client’s stakeholders under a team extension model to support the Client’s back-office operations.
The Clients’ Engagement Management Coordination (EMC) process area performs tasks related to Engagement/Project Management Maintenance.
JOB SUMMARY:
The JESS Engagement Management Assistant (EMA) resources are responsible for performing various tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures provided by the Clients’ Engagement Management Coordination (EMC) team including, but not limited to supporting EMCs who are assigned to engagement partners (EPs)/managing directors by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting engagement accounting and risk management issues
The JESS EMA Assistant Officer reports primarily to the JESS EMA Team Lead but will also take direction from other Finance & Accounting Client team members who are accountable for supported work.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
· Performs data entry of engagement information into SYNC. This includes engagement/phase setup, ERP changes, engagement/phase status changes, billing, role changes, business area/profit center changes and T&E adjustments.
· Coordinate invoice maintenance process with Accounts Receivable team – prepare replacement invoices, process credit notes, cash re-application, submit refund requests
· Retrieve/provide invoice copies
· Calculates engagement gain/loss utilizing the Aperture tool (Excel)
· Consolidate and submit month-end ERP/Close impact report for Practice Leader Approvals
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Associate degree / 13th Grade
· At least six months working in a professional environment
