We're hiring a Product Manager for our client at the Sangster International airport

JOB PURPOSE

  1. Manage the categories locally: negotiation with suppliers, purchase, manage inventories, merchandising, and promotions.
  2. Maximize sales potential and margin.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Maintain efficiently the stock in shops to meet the customers´ needs, together with suppliers, category managers, commercial coordinators, and relevant HQ managers.
  2. Provide support to implement commercial actions planned with Corporate Commercial teams.
  3. Help to implement and set up procedures to ensure the objectives are accomplished.
  4. Control of retail product price ranges to ensure maximum profitability, by maintaining competitive prices in line with the market.
  5. Manage product information, and ensure its accuracy in the Group POS system (cost prices, margins, descriptions, groups, suppliers, and inventory levels)
  6. Responsible for managing an effective inventory within the given financial targets, together with the HQ commercial team (i.e. identify discontinued or slow sales for clearance and liquidation)
  7. Responsible for maintaining effective stock rotation procedures, together with the Warehouse Manager and the Shop Managers.
  8. Help to implement marketing actions, by using current local market knowledge.
  9. Maintain and develop professional and effective relations with suppliers, representatives and co-workers in order to optimize results.
  10. Establish realistic sales goals and efficient incentives for in-store consultants, together with suppliers and store managers.
  11. Help to coordinate product training for consultants and for staff, together with HR.
  12. Provide feedback through monthly reports including updates, initiatives and forecasts, which will contribute to the growth of the Company.
  13. Must be able to negotiate with local suppliers.

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree – ideally with Business qualification.
  • More than 3 years of experience in similar role.
  • Previous experience in the airport background will be appreciated.
  • Spanish language is a plus.
  • IT literate.
  • Commercial and numerate.
  • Good presentation and communication skills – written and verbal
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Professional and pragmatic.
  • Team player.
