Promotion Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:

The Promotion Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing the organization’s trade promotion activities, trade shows and special events. The incumbent will ensure that all operational activities are successful in meeting the goals set by the Brand Manager.

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the marketing team to develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns, design and prepare reports for all product Develop and implement all activities and plans for various marketing projects 
  • Plan and implement promotional activities island-wide
  • Evaluate and report performance of promotional events. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities to innovate and beat the competition.
  • Network and build trusting relationships with existing and potential customers 
  • Representing the company at product launches, events, trade shows and webinars. 
  • Design and update a promotions calendar, track all events, analyze data, and use your findings to improve your strategies.
  • Assist in the development of support POS materials and other materials including but not limited to flyers, scripts, communication etc. 
  • Compile reports analyzing all promotion events for the Trade Marketing Manager and other teams as required.
  • Coordinate internal Company events as required.
  • Assist in the development and incorporation of promotion elements in presentations to external stakeholder meetings. 
  • Ensure deadlines and budgets are adhered to, conduct a post event evaluation of all executed promotions and events 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast, plan and execute promotion activities 
  • Ensure consistent, timely and effective communication regarding the promotions to all stakeholders 
  • Support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process. Ensure effective material planning implementation takes place relating to the changes 
  • Recruit and train a high quality team of engaging and knowledgeable brand representatives.
  • Schedule team members for promotions

 ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  •  Bachelor  Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in a similar capacity with a track record of leading brands
  • Thorough understanding of brand & channel development plans

 REQUIRED SKILLS AND SPECIALIZED TECHNIQUES:

  • Solid knowledge of promotion/marketing techniques and principles 
  • Data driven 
  • A background in FMCG and prior experience in people management would be an asset 
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills 
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities 
  • Creativity and commercial awareness 
  • A team player with a customer-oriented approach
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Commercially minded with exceptional negotiating and relationship-building competencies.
  • Own and operate a reliable motor vehicle
  • Must be able to travel island wide
