Located on the island of Ambergris Caye, Belize, our 39-unit Boutique Condo Resort is seeking a leader who is very hands-on, with an active on-site management style, good relationship-building skills, and great references from previous employers.

A dynamic and self-motivated individual with a “Can Do” attitude. Someone who possesses an innate understanding of resort operations. You must be extremely adaptable and flexible, and set high goals and standards for the smooth operation of the resort. This individual will work closely with current senior management to implement overall high-performance standards and to maximize customer satisfaction and employee retention.

Job Description

  • Strong background in Luxury Boutique Condo Resort property
  • Experience with Condo Association Management and managing condo owner relationships.
  • Uphold and promote the core values and culture of the Company.
  • The ability to be flexible in schedule to meet the needs of the resort, respond to emergencies, and cover any emergency staffing situations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to turn issues into opportunities.
  • Provide consistent and professional leadership to department heads and front-line employees through effective coaching, leading, motivating, empowering and following through.
  • Recruit and maintain employees for all departments of the hotel, oversee ongoing training initiatives at property level to ensure improved performance and employee satisfaction.
  • Achieve P&L performance by effectively controlling expenses and maximizing revenues.
  • Meet all financial review dates and corporate-directed programs in a timely fashion.
  • Adhere to all brand standards and achieve favorable reviews in terms of both the resort property and service.
  • Consistently monitor property condition and work with the maintenance department ensuring the property meets both safety and brand standards at all times.
  • Approach all encounters with guests, homeowners and employees in an attentive courteous and service-oriented manner and resolve any issues favorably to achieve guest satisfaction while protecting the company and the company's assets.
  • Serve as Ambassador to the community for the hotel.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of Hotel Manager, Executive Committee, or equivalent experience at a full-service hotel
  • Bachelor's degree and or appropriate combination of education and work experience to succeed in this demanding position.
  • Experience managing $10M or greater in revenue.
  • Results-oriented, with an aptitude for leadership and a demonstrated track record in recruiting, energizing, guiding, motivating, and managing a highly skilled team.
  • Fluent English
  • Single Status preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ADR growth (proven RevMax exposure/experience)
  • Solid financial background (multiple departments)
  • Familiar with PM programs/Prop Ops/Cap Ex
  • Condo hotel experience.
  • Front Office and Guest Services experience.
  • Proven ability to drive higher Guest experience scores.
  • Sincere appreciation of resort properties
  • Ability to organically create hotel enhancements and initiatives for improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, great motivator and strong public speaker

Remuneration

  • Salary dependent on experience
  • Accommodation provided.
  • Work permit will be supplied by the employer.
