HR Assistant needed. Must have Associate Degree in HR and related experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

Assist the HR staff with recruitment and onboarding activities, and provide administrative support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide general office support for the human resources department.
  • Respond to inquiries about employment opportunities in person or by telephone.
  • Review applicant data from the applicant tracking system, and conduct phone screens for selected candidates.
  • Schedule interviews, and update the interview and recruitment logs.
  • Responsible for onboarding of new hires by emailing welcome correspondence and employment contract documents.
  • Create and maintain employee personnel files, including e-filing documents received via email.
  • Perform data entry of new employee records into human resources software.
  • Request ePay cards from Vendor and distribute to new employees.
  • Distribute new and replacement IDs to employees.
  • Track the issuance and return of company property.
  • Prepare and distribute job letters to employees on a timely basis.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in HR plus 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Human resources experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook required.
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM.
  • Ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting all deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond quickly, accurately and thoroughly to all requests.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions.
