Accounting Officer

The Accounting Officer is responsible for providing effective and efficient support through administrative, accounting services as assigned. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing Monthly Management Accounts
• SOPL, SOFP & Cash Flow
• Preparing Monthly Bank Reconciliation JMD & USD
• Prepare Monthly GCT Computation and File Return online
• Prepare Monthly SCT Computation and File Return online
• Prepare Quarterly EPL Computation and File Return online
• Monthly Reconciliation of Sub-Ledgers to General Ledger
• Prepare row material and packaging
• Prepare Finished Goods Costing
• Prepare Journal Entries
• Update Journal Entries in system
• Coding of Suppliers invoices with General Ledger account numbers
• Check AP Vouchers & Purchase Order Edit List before updating in System
• Check ALL payments request made to Suppliers
• Email payment request to Directors for online approval
• Renewal of Company TCC online
• Prepare Audit schedules to support Financial Statements
• Team player, lead and direct staff to meet required Policies and procedures of Financial Reporting and Accounting standards
• Perform other related duties as requested

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• ACCA Level 2
• Minimum two (2) years experience in a similar role
• Should be flexible and adaptable with a customer centric approach
• Must be detail oriented and analytical with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Should be able to devise long range goals and objectives to meet the targets of the Business
• Must have sound fiduciary experience.
• Must possess the ability to liaise with local and international partners and forge partnerships
