Background
Profiles Caribbean Inc. is working collaboratively with our client, a leading reinsurance company. We are seeking to find and select a suitable candidate for the position of Reinsurance Accountant.

Job Summary

As a Reinsurance Accountant you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of deal accounting for a portfolio of deals: to understand deal structures and prepare business transaction entries, journal entries, electronic deal files and accounting memos.
• Line of business financial reporting.
• Preparing relevant interim and year end audit schedules.
• Preparing quarterly Federal Excise Tax returns.
• Line of business cashflows: to ensure premiums are received timely and claims/other payments are paid timely.
• Provide support to the Finance Manager Reinsurance, Senior AVP Finance and CFO, as required.

Requirements

• At least 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent organizational, collaborative, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure, and meets deadlines.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 products and SAP.
• Maintain high levels of integrity and confidentiality.
• A fully qualified accountant (re: ACCA, CPA etc.) or partially qualified but in the process of completing your designation.
