Our HR Manager, i.e: our Human Resources Business Partner will have the opportunity to make a difference with one of our most important assets – our people, who directly impact the service we deliver to our clients. You will manage the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, internal operations, and employee experience.

 

As the HR Business Partner, you will have a front-row seat and directly impact our growth phase. You will collaborate with our talented team of creatives, developers, and strategists to help clients achieve their goals and to propel IPP to new levels of advancement in the digital space. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead and manage IPP’s full talent acquisition & selection cycle; approval, sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, assessment and to make selection recommendations.
  • Manage and partner with hiring managers to review and update job descriptions and where necessary to design new jobs in keeping with the objectives of the team.
  • Manage IPP’s onboarding, orientation, probation and performance management process. 

HRIS Support, Compensation and Benefits

  • Manage and provide administrative oversight for the HRIS platform; BambooHR 
  • Lead and manage compensation negotiation and planning.
  • In collaboration with Payroll (Finance) and Department Heads, co-ordinate and administer the company’s compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure timely submission to payroll of all salary, allowance and other payroll type changes.

Learning and Development

  • Design training programs and solutions, both in-house and with expert third parties, that utilizes a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, 1-2-1 sessions, action learning & e-learning and delivering these solutions to team members.
  • Carry out evaluation of all learning and development programmes for effectiveness and organizational impact.
  • Drive performance management throughout the organization and the completion of performance reviews; from the alignment of SMART objectives to performance improvement plans.
  • Create and lead the execution of strategic roadmap/s centered on best in class initiatives; leveraging data to implement said strategies to promote and achieve a culture of perfection and high engagement.

Employee Engagement

  • Lead the execution of employee engagement activities associated with wellbeing, productivity, products and corporate social responsibility.
  • Collaborate to develop and lead the execution of a rewards and recognition programme, ensuring timely selections and awards.
  • Consistently monitor team morale through surveys or focus groups; develop and implement the appropriate employee experience initiatives to ensure a pleasant and productive work environment of mutual respect and organizational effectiveness.
  • Use an analytical approach to support sound business decisions and periodically evaluate our people programs, processes, and tools to ensure IPP is an industry leader.

Internal Communications

  • Lead the development and execution of the internal and external comms. strategy to promote It’s Pixel Perfect employee value propositions, products and activities to build the employer brand.
  • Ensure communication of all updated HR policies and procedures to employees.

People Operations

  • Ensure the timely and consistent implementation of HR policies, strategies and procedures and obtain feedback on people issues.
  • Counsel leaders on the management of people including performance improvements plans, discipline, and separation.
  • Lead the Employee Relations function in the administration of all disciplinary and grievance matters in accordance with the disciplinary code and sound ER practices.
  • Responsible for compliance with local employment laws, employee records and reporting.
  • The development and administration of records management policies and processes designed to facilitate effective and efficient handling of employees files and data.

Strategic Planning

  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and collaborate with the executive leadership team to ensure IPP achieves its People Operations Opex and headcount budgeted targets.
  • Lead as a resource to executive leadership team to support legal and compliance issues and other People Operations projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with related majors e.g. Human Resources (HR), Industrial Psychology or Business Management.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in Human Resource Management, with at least at two (2) at a managerial level ideally within a growth-stage tech company with exposure to either an all-remote or hybrid environment (minimum).
  • High emotional and social intelligence and ability to establish strong relationships, experience in fostering positive relationships at all levels, and across functions 
  • Experience with HRIS and Applicant tracking systems.
  • Ability to work within a distributed team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels within the company.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills - able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Passionate about people and able to use discretion and handle highly sensitive information.

Working Hours and Location:

  • We are currently working in a hybrid environment
  • Our offices are based in Kingston, Jamaica 
  • Normal office hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday to Friday 
  • Flexible work arrangement available in most cases (must be agreed with the manager)
  • May be required to work outside of regular working hours as required by assignments
