The IT Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day support, administration of Kenson Group cloud and on-premises technologies, troubleshooting all in house network, Cloud and Internal software and hardware which includes – laptops, desktops, printers, IP phones, mobile phones.

Role Specific Work Processes and Standards:

  1. Provide support to end-users on computer hardware, software, and network-related issues.  
  2. Install, configure, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to the company's computer systems and network infrastructure. 
  3. Collaborate with the Systems Administrator to implement new technologies and assist with IT projects and initiatives. 
  4. Act as a subject matter expert to provide internal application support for Kenson as required  
  5. Ensures that all help desk requests are recorded and tracked in detail. 
  6. Provide routine reporting to the Systems Administrator 
  7. Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation on computer systems and network infrastructure including the inventory database for all Hardware, Software, Systems in the organization. 
  8. Procurement and configuration of IT related hardware and software 
  9. Assist with Administration of Fortinet Hardware and Software  
  10. Assist with Administration of Windows Server 2019-2021 
  11. Assist with Administration of Veeam backup and disaster recovery software. 
  12. Assist with Administration of Finance software to end users.  
  13. Assist with Administration of internal Group HRIS and SMIS, SIS technologies as required.  
  14. Identifies, develops, and delivers beneficial training initiatives to departments as required.  
  15. Coordinates and assists with the creation of related online training programs where required for internal staff and other internal support documentation as required.  
  16. Monitors progress of all training programs via in house SaaS reports, surveys and provide recommendations.  

 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems  
  2. A minimum of 3 years of IT experience preferably in a help desk remote and on-site support capacity. 
  3. CompTIA A+ | CompTIA Network+ | CompTIA Security+ Certifications desirable  
  4. Azure, Microsoft 365 course completion certifications with focus on Administration and SharePoint  
  5. Fortinet Certifications is desirable. 

 

Knowledge and Competencies:

  1. Basic knowledge of TCP/IP Networks, Routing / Switching / VLAN, Wan and LAN and networking infrastructure.  
  2. Extensive knowledge of supporting windows client and server Operating Systems  
  3. Working Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration  
  4. Working knowledge of Server 2008-2021 Active Directory, DNS, DHCP management  
  5. Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Azure  
  6. Basic knowledge of Fortinet Network Administration – Access Points, Switches, FortiGate administration  
  7. Basic Knowledge of Microsoft MDM solution Intune. 
  8. Basic Knowledge of SQL Server Express Administration.  
  9. Basic Knowledge of Veeam Backup and Replication.  
  10. Basic Knowledge of Avaya Systems and IPO management.   
  11. Working Knowledge of Remote Support and Remote Desktop software  
  12. Basic Knowledge of Security technology vendors solutions such as Crowdstrike, Darktrace, Fortinet, Microsoft etc.
