The Chefette Group of Companies is seeking to recruit an Assistant Group Finance Manager with excellent administrative and analytical financial skills to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of financial duties and projects for an assigned portfolio of companies within the group.
  • Preparing monthly financial statements, reports, and forecasting.
  • Drafting budgets, income statements, balance sheets and tax returns.
  • Compiles financial reports and supervises month-end processes.
  • Monitors, analyses and manages accounting functions and work flow.
  • Assists with the management of all auditing processes.
  • Processes schedules and reconcile all statutory returns.
  • Prepare payroll as required.
  • Manage various administrative functions for medical and pension plans.
  • Supervises the accounting team within the organization.
  • Train staff members on various financial processes.

 

     

Required Competencies and Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.    
  • A designation from a recognized certifying body (e.g. CPA, CMA, ACCA). 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ proven work experience at a Senior Level Accounts position.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment would be a definite asset.  
  • Working knowledge of Sage Accounting Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
