The Centre Manager will be responsible for the overall and day-to-day administration and management of the AHF Ocho Rios Wellness Centre. The incumbent will also be responsible for the support, marketing and public relations activities of the Centre.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates the daily activities at the WC.
- Represents the WC at meetings in the parish or elsewhere.
- Coordinates office services, such as personnel, budget, records, and inventory management control.
- Performs office management duties and oversees the maintenance of personnel and other records.
- Scheduling of the clinic staff to ensure appropriate coverage at all times
- Receives and reviews Invoices for processing and payment.
- Prepare and submit expense reports
- Maintain the Inventory and Assets Records.
- Prepare quality reports in keeping with AHF Global standards.
- Record Minutes for meeting.
- Manipulate data and information in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications by creating word processing form letters, tables, etc.
- Monitor and maintains office equipment and the use of office supplies.
- Ensure health and safety issues are addressed, including making staff aware of building safety and emergency procedures and safe work practices.
- Provide front office services at the WC.
- Provides administrative support to the organization of events and support the follow-up work which may be required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BSc. Administration or Social Sciences
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Management or supervisory role.
- Experience in working at a Doctor’s Office/Health Centre or hospital.
REPORTING AND FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The Centre Manager shall have a reporting and functional relationship with the Caribbean Regional Director and Physician of the Ocho Rios Wellness Clinic.
COMPUTER/SOFTWARE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Computer and Internet skills, including experience with MS Word and Excel. PowerPoint and any other database is an added advantage.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Working level of English and/or Spanish is an asset.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PARTICIPATION IN AHF GLOBAL MEETINGS & COMMITTEES
- Participates in meetings and committees as requested by the Caribbean Regional Director.
OTHER REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Standard Operations Procedures for the AHF, other rules, regulations, policies and conventions.
- Knowledge of the minor maintenance and janitorial services for the Clinic.
- Knowledge of the AHF website and use of same.
- Knowledge of specialized formats for letters, memos and reports.
- Knowledge of budget preparation procedures.
- Knowledge of the principles of office management and supervision
- Knowledge of Minute taking, Report and Proposal Writing.
- Knowledge of the Stakeholders’ in the parish as well as the NGOs and private sector entities.
- Knowledge of youth/young people issues and situations.
- Knowledge and understanding of working in partnerships and collaboratively.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions and using discretion.
- Ability to plan, organize supervise and review the work of subordinates performing a variety of functions.
- Ability to apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
