Supports implementation of strategy using effective & efficient utilization of budgets, systems & manpower, to achieve objectives as outlined in the monthly cycle & demand plans; & to execute activities to achieve the Brands, Volume, Price, Profit & Market Share objectives of the company.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Mapping and classifying accounts in order of strategic importance to inform the allocation and maximization of the marketing investment.
  • Analyzing the company and its competitors’ business performance within accounts to facilitate effective cycle planning activities.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of the Regional Trade Marketing plan.
  • Classifying new and existing outlets (consumer profile), to reflect the current purchasing habits and strategic positioning of the outlets, and to secure opportunities.
  • Implementing account strategies and plans to ensure that objectives are achieved.
  • Maintaining customer records and providing accurate and useful information to enable effective decision making.
  • Negotiating on behalf of the company to ensure a position of strength in strategic accounts.
  • Update the customer call cards and files regularly.
  • Identifying and developing future business opportunities with strategic accounts.
  • Managing cross-functional application of category management in selected accounts.
  • Supporting the implementation of Key Account Management best practices.
  • Providing guidance to customers regarding the erection of the Company’s advertising signs etc.
  • Providing information regarding competitor’s business activities on an ongoing basis and to submit weekly and monthly reports.
  • Constantly evaluating and proposing new distribution alternatives as well as supporting the trade, in order to maximize company’s resources.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years’ work experience in general, ideally in FMCGs and traditional commercial channels.
  • Experience in launching new products would be an asset.
  • Computer literate with proficient in Spread sheet and Word Processing applications.
  • Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
