The Operations Supervisor’s role is to organize and oversee all security operations of our company. Security personnel will be under your command while you develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain security standards.

The Operations Supervisor’s role is to organize and oversee all security operations of our company. Security personnel will be under your command while you develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain security standards.

As Operations Supervisor, you will have to demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills. You will need a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats to safety. Since you will have a number of people under your responsibility, you must also exhibit strong leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses.
• Oversee, recruit, train and supervise security officers.
• Deployment of security guard contingency
• Attend site visits/meetings to determine operational needs.
• Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events.
• Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms.
• Review reports on incidents and breaches.
• Investigate and resolve issues.
• Create reports for management on security status.

• Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology or security protocols).

• Ensure that the Company is providing quality service to our clients and that these accounts are operated in a manner consistent with established policies, contracts, and applicable laws.

• Maintain an active, strong client relations program by making frequent personal visits to discuss any problems or recommendations for improvement of the service provided.

Requirements

• Proven experience as security operations supervisor or in a similar position.
• Experience using relevant security technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV).
• Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.
• Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
• Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Excellent Situational awareness.
• FUL/FUEC Holder.
• Firearm Training.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
• Supervisory and people management experience.
• Further education in security administration or similar field will be an asset.
• Defensive Driving Certificate would be considered and asset.

Given the PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

A considerable level of walking, bending, and driving, is required in the execution of duties. In that regard, the incumbent must be in fit physical condition.
