| HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY: - To lead the management team in shaping and executing the strategies and programmes of the SVGTA.
- To advise the Board of Directors on required policy areas and submit timely reports on work programmes and their KPIs, as may be directed.
- To provide ongoing guidance to the Departmental Units – Marketing, Quality Development, Quality Assurance and Research & Data Analytics.
- To manage the preparation, presentation and implementation of the annual Marketing Plan.
- To participate in national and international fora so as to promote the interests of the SVGTA.
- To liaise regularly with industry partners and discuss with them the work of the SVGTA and other industry matters.
- To oversee the strategic and budgetary planning process and submit plans on a timely basis. Pursues meaningful opportunities while mitigating risks.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS - A minimum of seven (7) years working experience at a senior/executive management level and, preferably, in the tourism sector.
- A comprehensive, professional understanding of the international and regional tourism market.
| IS REQUIRED: - To show that they have a proven track record as a leader in the tourism, hospitality or related industry.
- To have at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business Management, International Relations, Law, Engineering, or Finance.
- The ability to speak fluently in one or more foreign languages and digital marketing expertise will be an asset.
