The Sales Associate interacts with customers in store and over the phone to understand their needs and provide the appropriate product solutions. The incumbent ensures that exceptional customer service is provided at all times.

SALES ASSOCIATE

We are seeking to identify a dynamic, customer focused individual to join our team as a Sales Associate.  The successful candidate will interact with customers in store and over the phone to understand their needs and provide the appropriate product solutions.  S/he will also ensure that exceptional customer service is provided at all times and that sales opportunities are identified in order to contribute to the achievement of individual and store sales targets.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Liaise with customers to:

           −  explore their current and future needs and provide information regarding the company’s products and services

           −  respond to queries and resolve service and product issues

           −  receive and process quotation requests

           −  process point-of-sale, credit sales, and goods returned transactions

  • Receive items from the warehouse for delivery to in-store customers
  • Assist with the identification of potential customers, scheduling of site inspections, and the preparation and submission of proposals
  • Introduce and sell service contracts to current and prospective customers.
  • Assist with the coordination of solar water heater installations, warranty or service maintenance for the department and the filling of job cards.
  • Maintain stock levels for items in the selling area at appropriate levels to reduce waiting time for deliveries to in-house customers.
  • Assist with the checking of invoices and goods being delivered to ensure accuracy with goods leaving the company
  • Work during sale expos, conferences, and any other event required by the company to promote and sell its product and services
  • Keep abreast of current promotional events and sales in order to inform customers and influence buying patterns.

Job Requirements

  • Five (5) subjects in Mathematics, English Language and Industrial Technology or equivalent qualifications
  • Heart Level I Certificate in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience
