Procurement Analyst (Curacao)

The incumbent uses advanced knowledge and skill in procurement and vendor management to secure required items from locally based suppliers. These items include Raw Materials, non-inventory items and packaging. All work is done with the highest level of confidentiality, and in keeping with the policies and procedures of the Company.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES include but are not limited to:

• Support competitive bid events to evaluate and select supplier partners
• Track requests and orders to ensure timely delivery to the requestor
• Process requisitions and update management on status of orders
• Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery
• Providing data concerning market trends to make insightful buying decisions.
• Create and maintain a good professional relationship with vendors/suppliers
• Secure supply as per requested specifications using sound purchasing and supply principles
• Maintain detailed records related to the work of the function and department
• Research select and purchase quality products and materials.
• Supporting the implementation of operational supplier management, measuring regarding supplier performance (in accordance with contract) and providing data on this.
• Quotations are received from suppliers outlining price, quality, quantity, and consistency.
• Quotations from suppliers are assessed on contracts are negotiated for the supply of produce, meats, poultry, etc. Ensuring best price and consistency in quality and supply.
  
  ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• First degree in a related field or pursuing the final year of a related purchasing/logistics qualification.
• 5 years’ experience within the Purchasing and Supply Chain field with ideally 3 years of experience in the Food industry.
• Intermediate excel ability to use formulas and other data management features
• Competent in procurement systems and systems management including inventory
• Experience with Great Plains will be considered and asset
• Experience executing Procurement Category Strategies and relationship management
