The Children's Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is a specialized agency with the responsibility for the care and protection of children, especially those who are at risk or have been victims of abuse or neglect.

The Children's Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is seeking to recruit for an Performance Management Officer, on contract.

The Performance Management Officer will be responsible for overseeing the Performance Management System and providing consultations to Managers, Team Leads and employees about the process.

 

Principal Accountabilities/ Key Functions:

  • Communicates and oversee the talent management and performance management system and coordinate the performance appraisal process.

  • Coordinate, monitor and evaluate the performance appraisal system and recommend training initiatives.
  • Partner with Department Managers to design, implement and monitor employee goals and development plans, ensuring they are in alignment with needs identified during the performance management cycle.
  • Assists with the planning and review of the Department's strategic objectives for human resources management, monitors the achievement of goals, identifies gaps and prescribes the applicable solutions to resolve the identified issues.
  • Administer the Succession Planning process; follow up on participants’ development and update records as needed.
  • Develop and administer systems that ensure the accurate and timely tracking of performance metrics, including completion of probationary, mid-year and annual reviews.
  • Provides consultative services regarding employee development and the creation, administration and follow up on Development Plans for all employee levels.
  • Develop operational procedures to identify gaps to upskill team performance and organizational talent pool.
  • Provide interpretation of data and list recommendations regarding the design, creation and implementation of future Performance Management offerings.
  • Organize meetings, workshops or focus groups to better understand what stakeholders want and expect.
  • Perform any other duties as may be required to successfully achieve this job function.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in HR or related field.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in Performance Management will be considered an asset.
