JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service to both internal and external clients. The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the sales journey including greeting customers when they enter the showroom, helping customers find specific products, acting as a liaison between customers and the warehouse department, effectively handling and resolving complaints, receiving orders and completing sales. In addition to accurately performing cash and accounting transactions, the Sales Associate is responsible for the presentation of the sales floor, displays, products, signage etc. The incumbent will also be tasked with meeting weekly, monthly and annual sales targets by successfully implementing cross-selling strategies and marketing tactics. This position reports to the Sales Supervisor.

KEY TASKS:
Cashing duties
(1) Engages in beginning and end of day cash counts to ensure the maintenance of accurate balances.
(2) Processes cash, cheque, debit and credit cards transactions.
(3) Balances sales transactions at end of each shift in accordance with PCU Plus policies.
(4) Ensures proper handover of sales proceeds as required by company procedures.
(5) Reports challenges or performance issues to the Sales Supervisor for timely resolution.
(6) Performs any other duties required by Sales Supervisor and Store Manager.
Customer Service duties
(1) Greets customers in a professional and friendly manner.
(2) Responds to customer inquiries (in-person, telephone and online) and provides information about products and services.
(3) Informs customers of sales promotions and services, warranties or terms of sale etc.
(4) Promotes sales, featured products and value-added services.
(5) Resolves product or service queries from customers and escalates accordingly.
(6) Engages in timely follow-up of customer requests, orders or queries to ensure customer satisfaction.
(7) Engages customers in-store, over the telephones and online.
(8) Complies with inventory control procedures and ensures accurate fulfilment of in-person sales and online orders.
(9) Suggests strategies for increasing revenue (e.g., marketing activities, creative floor displays, merchandising) and goes the extra mile to drive sales.
(10) Facilitates customer engagement with stocked merchandise to achieve sales goals.
(11) Maintains the appearance of the sales floor and product displays.
(12) Liaises with the warehouse to ensure goods are in stock before billing customers.
(13) Assists the Sales Supervisor to prepare quotations for customers, when required.
(14) Performs any other related duty that may be assigned by the Sales Supervisor or Store Manager to ensure effective operation.
