Receivables Controller

The Financial Services Commission (FSC) is an integrated financial services regulator.  The FSC has an immediate opening for the position of Receivables Controller (Fixed Term Contract)

 SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Receivables Controller plays a critical role in the financial administration at FSC. He/she is responsible for the monitor and ensure the timely collection of the receivables. The Receivables Controller is required to coordinate the collection and escalation of outstanding receivables to the appropriate personnel in order to resolve same.

 MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure that all accounting practices comply with internal policy and statutory requirements.
  • Comply with risk treatment initiatives as demonstrated by the FSC Risk Profile
  • Reports as well as Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Procedures.
  • Reconcile the application of all receipts to the respective licensees account monthly and as well as to probe any variances or outstanding receipts.
  • Facilitate internal and external audit activities.
  • Participate in the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure that all accounting practices comply with internal policy and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare the investment reports monthly and participate in investment analysis
  • Prepare the required Audit Schedules and providing information to external auditors as required.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and Economics.
  • The job requires at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in a comparable position and business.
