PRODUCT INNOVATION COORDINATOR (CDPT)

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Product Innovation department in conducting research, costing analysis, category reviews, trade surveys; sampling, design and complete development of new products together with the renovation of current products.

Job summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Product Innovation department in conducting research, costing analysis, category reviews, trade surveys; sampling, design and complete development of new products together with the renovation of current products to ensure consumer satisfaction, product safety and product competitiveness.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Supports business development initiatives by conducting research, selecting and evaluating potential co-packers for various food and beverage projects.
2. Performs detailed value chain costing analysis of new products and potential new brand acquisitions including full competitive set analysis of assigned category to ensure return on investments.
3. Assists in competitive analysis and product comparison research crossing traditional and non-traditional competitor brands for targeted project assignments.
4. Performs trade visits and conducts category specific pricing surveys throughout the trade channels.
5. Coordinates the execution of all sampling of new product protypes and reports on findings.
6. Works closely with the Product Innovation Manager to prioritize the projects in the New Product Development pipeline.
7. Supports the Marketing and Manufacturing/Co-packing teams with packaging material specification, design, sourcing, evaluation, and development.
8. Supports the development of material packaging artwork design - concept development, artwork brief, labelling specifications, draft reviews and proof reading. 

Job Requirements: 

• An Undergraduate Degree in Management or any related discipline.
• At least two (2) years’ experience in Product Development in the Food Industry in one or multiple product categories.
• Good understanding of Food and Beverage manufacturing processes.
• Project management and project management software skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Flexible and adaptable to perform in a high-volume, fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
• Organized with strong time-management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proactive, results oriented and service oriented.
