Vacancy for Floor Manager 

This position is concerned with the efficient operations of all floor departments as they relate to accuracy in pricing, timely purchasing of goods, proper handling and use of store equipment. The position is key in the support of the Store Manager’s functions especially as they relate to profitability and employee productivity.

Major Responsibilities

• Supervise all floor operations as they relate to packing of items on shelves and the basic benefits and characteristics of all items sold in the General Merchandise and Grocery Departments.
• Monitor and assists all floor operations to ensure all staff are productive and in compliance with the store’s policies and procedures.
• Liaises with the purchasing team in relation to stock inventory.
• Assists with customers’ queries and concerns.
• Maintains records and documents for goods received ensuring timely and accurate records.
• Informs all relevant supervisors of changes in aisle assignment of goods.
• Works closely with the systems department to ensure accurate pricing of goods and that shelf edges are updated accordingly.
• Ensures adequate staffing and efficient use of labour in all aspects of the operation.
• Ensures all employees are adequately trained.
• Assists the Store Manager with health, safety and sanitation issues in order to maintain a safe and clean work environment for employees and customers to ensure compliance with all governmental regulations and company standards. 
• Ensures that all tools, infrastructure and equipment are functional to facilitate efficient operations.
• Makes disciplinary and other employee decisions in conjunction with the HR department.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Associate Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• 3 years’ experience required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills combined with good interpersonal skills
• High level of accuracy and time management
• Flexibility in scheduling with the availability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary.
