Job Brief

The Production Manager has responsibility for ensuring that factory targets are met through production and workforce planning, as well as the smooth performance of the factory by providing oversight for full compliance with regulatory and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

Will include but not limited to:

• Manage the factory operations including the daily production targets and adequate workforce planning
• Reinforce processes so that quality standards are maintained with full adherence to the GMPs, HAACP and other food related industry standards 
• Ensure that production records are accurate and the system updated daily
• Ensure that machinery is maintained in good working order
• Analyze production data to assist with decision making
• Provide reports on quality control, maintenance, production numbers and other reports as needed

Helpful Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in management, industrial management or related field
• Prior experience in a managerial role within a production plant
• Certification in production or quality control would be an asset
• Knowledge of GMPs, HAACP and other food related industry standards
• Knowledge of the  Occupational Health and Safety Policies and Factory Act
• Strong leadership and time management skills
