The incumbent is responsible for and is expected to provide support to the Pharmacist for the management of antibiotic, narcotic and controlled third schedule and OTC drugs.

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Review doctor’s orders to assure accuracy and authenticity.
  • Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage.
  • Observe and report any discrepancies in packaging etc.
  • Manage all the red tape surrounding a drug's successful registration approval and release
  • Manage all post approval activities eg. pharmacovigilance, notifications etc.
  • Manage disposal of all damaged/expired pharmaceuticals.
  • Apply for all necessary licences, registration approvals and marketing permits from the relevant Government agencies.
  • Liaison between the Ministry of Health, Chemistry, Food & Drugs Division, The Drug Inspectorate and CARPHA.
  • Report any hazards which are identified to direct Supervisor/Manager and HSSE, Fleet & Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensure the application of and adherence to established HSE measures and procedures to ensure the well-being of themselves and employees.
  • Maintain records, such as all antibiotic, narcotic, precursor drugs and controlled drug receipts, sales invoices and returns from customers and forward reports to the relevant Government agencies.
  • Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bsc Pharmacy Degree and Pharmacy professional license.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience or relevant combination of training and experience.
