ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

S.M. Jaleel & Company Limited,  one of the leaders in the Caribbean Region involved in the manufacturing and distributing of non-alcoholic beverages, with subsidiaries in the global market, is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced national to fill the position of ELECTRICAL  TECHNICIAN.

Job Summary

The Electrical  Technician is responsible for the electrical maintenance and operation of machines to in the operations unit. This is to be done in an efficient and effective manner so as to ensure that  products are manufactured at the highest quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates electrical aspects of machinery in an efficient manner
• Performs preventative, corrective and annual maintenance of all electrical equipment is done on a timely basis.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principle and practices and applying this knowledge to diagnose (troubleshoot) problems and to solve these problems as they occur during operation
• Adhering to all standard operating procedures; good manufacturing practices and safety guidelines
• Coordinates and interacts with Production Machine Operators to inquire about electrical problems and address the respective issues. In conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor, analyses electrical failures and quality issues to find root causes, so as determine the preventative and corrective action to be taken.
• Lending full support to all operations personnel and ensuring proper communication methods are in place.

Candidate Profile

• A technicians diploma EEET for UTT or MIC
• At least two years progressive experience at a electrical capacity in a manufacturing environment
• The ability to perform skilled electrical work to maintain, repair, modify, and install machinery equipment
• Knowledgeable in PLC with hands on experience in trouble shooting
• Know how to read electrical, mechanical and pneumatics diagrams
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of levels
• Ability to multi task in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent organizational and coordinating skills
