Corporate Communications Officer

• Developing, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating all communications policies, systems, procedures and programs.

• Developing and supporting the execution of the annual communications plan and initiatives linked to the business strategy, provide direction for the company’s internal and external communications and manage the plan’s budget and timeline.

• Managing all media inquiries and interview requests, and ensuring all spokespersons are comprehensively briefed, trained and rehearsed before they engage with the media.

• Managing media coverage monitoring and overseeing internal daily dissemination of relevant news stories and where appropriate, managing response to inaccuracies in a timely manner.

• Supporting the creation of high quality and accurate content for press releases, speeches, response statements, articles, newsletters, Q&As, presentations, briefings, video clips and marketing/events materials.

• Developing and implementing clear protocols for company’s communications.

• Reviewing all digital and print correspondences, including guidelines and PowerPoint presentations, templates, toolkits, strategies etc. for messaging consistency and adhering to the CLIENT’s brand.

• Supporting the communication of company policies and procedures and any updates and changes to staff.

• Reviewing and preparing content for outsourced agency to produce presentations, press releases, articles, leaflets, in-house' journals, reports, publicity brochures, information for web sites and promotional videos.

• Providing guidance on the communication content for organizing, coordinating and executing Public Relations (PR) projects and events geared towards shaping a positive image among our stakeholders; assisting with managing media requests, building relationships with industry journalists, creating, executing and measuring media campaigns and channel enquiries from the public, the press, and related organizations.

• Supporting with monitoring, reporting and analyzing media coverage.

 

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree Corporate Communications, Marketing or equivalent.

• Public Relations Certification will be an asset.

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience, 5 years of which must be in a similar position.

• Experience in a power plant environment or process plant environment will be an asset.

• Exposure to the administration of Corporate Communications in a state entity will be an asset.
