SENIOR MANAGER HUMAN RESOURCES

MILLENNIUM HEIGHTS MEDICAL COMPLEX

 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for employment in the post of SENIOR MANAGER HUMAN RESOURCES at the Millennium Heights Medical Complex St. Lucia

 

A.    OBJECTIVE AND RELATIONSHIP

 

  • The Senior Manager Human Resources is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources (HR), it’s practices and operations in order to meet the needs of the constantly evolving business.

 

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the business’ current people programs and service delivery strategies, enhancing organizational decision-making and approaches to secure growth on a business-wide scale.

 

  • Responsible for talent acquisition, management, and strategy for Millennium Heights Medical Complex inclusive of compensation and benefit schedules.

 

  • Responsible for design, development and ongoing training and development initiatives for staff within the Complex.

 

  • Responsible for the overall performance management and key indicators for staff performance within the Complex.

 

  • Serves as an active member of the Executive Committee as well as a key executive partner and coach who is tasked with facilitating strategic planning and initiatives, change management and organizational design.

 

  • Serves as an advisor to the Chief Executive Officer for all Human Resource related matters for The Millennium Heights Medical Complex.

 

B.     MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Establish Human Resource objectives and develop organizational as well as people strategies in line with the organizational objectives and goals.
  • Establishes MHMC Board priorities, goals and objectives through collaboration and consultation with the CEO and the Executive team. Evaluates staffing levels and organizational structure for effective work performance and efficient resource allocation.
  • Lead initiatives and anchor the HR agenda in the Remuneration Committee, the Audit Committee and the MHMC Board Meetings.
  • Implement people strategies by establishing functional accountabilities along with driving talent acquisition, compensation benchmarking, performance appraisal, employee life cycle management, training & development, statutory compliances, safety & health, succession planning, employee relations, talent retention and overall administration.
  • Participate in the Steering Committee meetings on People Practice Initiatives and performance.
  • Architect change management and champion high-performance culture and technology deployment.
  • Engage with the business by effective business partnering to develop multiple differentiated capabilities for the organization.
  • Conduct research, procedural and administrative studies in evaluating and enhancing Human Resource Operations; formulate recommendations and provide advisement for improvement.
  • Create a platform for compensation review with control on budget and it’s utilization.
  • Monitor all organizational/department-related performance and productivity standards for compliance.
  • Work with the Department Heads, to understand the market trends and initiate multiple interventions within the space of Organization Development, Learning & Development and Talent Management.
  • Enable sustained Competency through Coaching and Development programs by partnering with leading organizations, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Design and deploy a Leadership Development framework and internal communication.
  • Work closely with the CEO and the Executive Team to develop & execute human capital strategies that effectively support and enhance the overall business strategies.
  • Implement and maintain effective succession and development plans, including management development and appropriate employee career path programs to support and sustain the Company's transformation and growth.
  • Proactively lead the development and evolution of Human Resource policies, procedures, programs, and practices that support the continued transformation of the business needed to become a world-class organization.

C.    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  1. Working knowledge of, and ability to interpret and apply Public Service Rules and Regulations, Departmental Guidelines, the Labour Code (particularly Occupational Health and Safety regulations) and Staff Orders, Millennium Heights Medical Complex Staff Rules and Human Resource Policies and Guidelines.

 

  1. Advanced knowledge of Collective Agreements and working with Unions.

 

  1. Effective supervisory and problem-solving skills, including conflict management.

 

  1. Advanced knowledge of regulations for compensation and benefits.

 

  1. Ability to interpret, understand and effectively apply procedures, rules and regulations, and pertinent legislation.

 

  1. Advanced administration and management skills with the ability to provide strategic guidance, planning and resource allocation; strong leadership and motivation techniques and the ability to coordinate with people and resources.

 

  1. Advanced level of conflict management, problem solving and negotiation skills.

 

D.    ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Management, or a related field of study, plus three (3) years of relevant, related, or equivalent experience.

 

OR

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Management, or a related field of study plus six (6) years of relevant, related, or equivalent experience.

 

F.    SALARY

 

         Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience
