TITLE: E-Commerce Specialist
REPORTS TO: Marketing & E-Commerce Manager
LOCATION: Head Office, Chaguanas
TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & E-Commerce, the E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for providing dedicated support to our e-commerce website, delivering a strong and effective online brand with cut-through, world-class content. The incumbent will grow sales and increase conversion by setting up on-site promotions, analyzing data and using findings to improve strategies.
This is an exciting role that requires a well-organized, hands-on approach to ensure flawless execution in a fast paced and growing environment, and an individual who can “hit the ground running” and drive our e-commerce website and digital marketing strategy to the next level.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the Manager, Marketing & E-Commerce and Web Developer in implementing various e-commerce related projects and development work of the website, assisting where required in working with IT to ensure functionality.
- Ensure that the website aesthetics and user interface is kept up to date, developing benchmarks in line with international standards to incorporate design features, innovations, website navigation, and tools.
- Assist with the optimization of Excellent Stores’ on-line presence using tactical Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies; Work with the Marketing and E-Commerce Assistants and Content Writer to set and maintain standards on product uploads.
- Work with the Creative Lead and Graphic/ Photo Specialist to execute all new content on the website and ensure that it is engaging, professional, and relevant to our audience.
- Update Marketplace vendor listing, web banners, promotions/discounts and featured categories as needed.
- With the assistance of the Creative Lead, liaise with various partners/Influencers when needed on creative productions.
- Manage all online display campaigns, engaging with social media, online platforms and email marketing to actively engage with our target market and increase conversion rates.
- Stay abreast of emerging digital tools and platforms, digital marketing trends, new technologies in order to maximize e-commerce productivity and sales, actionizing insights with the Manager, Marketing & E-Commerce.
- Achieve maximum ROI of all digital marketing and e-commerce campaigns, collecting and analyzing data, and identifying trends and insights.
- Monitor changes in product sales by using web analytics, and ERP software to stay organized; working with the Category Management department and Data Analyst to analyze and report on inventory movement across all categories, identifying fast selling items and high margin sellers.
- Lead the delivery of end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points reviewing customer feedback and actioning recommendations.
Responsible for any other tasks as assigned by Manager and/or Director.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, or Business-related discipline.
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience in Marketing and/or E-commerce.
- Experience working with an E-commerce platform, preferably Magento.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is an asset.
- Certifications and/or proficiency in: Google Analytics or other performance analysis tools, Google AdWords, Mail Chimp, Advanced Search, Display.
- Experience using SEO/SEM methodologies.
- Experience with general digital media – social media, digital display, ppc campaigns, etc.
- Knowledge of website branding, content and merchandising tactics.
- Experience working with an ERP system, preferably MS Dynamics NAV is an asset.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite particularly PowerPoint, Excel and related applications.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support the 24x7 nature of e- commerce retail.
