Our Client, G3 Hardware and Home Centre Limited, is seeking to fill the position of Manager.

JOB SUMMARY

Leads all activities of the Administration and Operations to ensure Company’s objectives are being achieved in the profitable provision of quality Customer Service. Achieves the objectives of the organization by assisting in developing, implementing and maintaining operational systems, procedures and standards geared toward maximizing Efficiencies.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

INBOUNDING:

  • Plans with the Supplier the receipt of incoming products.
  • Ensures all paperwork corresponds to actual product being received and all errors/omissions, anomalies are duly recorded. All Receipts should be matched to G3’s Purchase Orders.
  • Ensures the said goods are properly tagged/labelled and stored in the correct/designated location.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of imported products to inter alia understand and supervise issues relating to clearing at Port, Customs Unstuffing requirements.

 

WAREHOUING:

  • Use of Best Practice standard of FIFO (First In First out) unless directed otherwise.
  • Ensures acceptable storage of products in a well-organized fashion with all like with like, adequate labelling and ensures warehouses are always tidy and orderly.
  • Conducts /supervises random physical verification exercises/ stock counts and spot checks, from time to time.
  • Documents activities in the Warehouse by completing the necessary forms, reports, logs, and records and maintaining databases, with the assistance of available support staff.
  • Adequately accounts for all returned and damaged goods with the completion and submission of the necessary paper work (all returns/damages/credits are timely issued)

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Builds and maintains excellent relations with internal and external stakeholders (customers) while promoting the business of the organization and providing prompt and effective support for issues/problems identified.
  • Ensures satisfactory customer service is delivered by all employees.
  • Ensures the stock replenishment protocol is adhered to with the Team Lead
  • Insists that the Store is ALWAYS well merchandised and timely replenished from warehouse
  • Supports the corporate and B2B department by inter alia; responding to inquiries, following up with customers, touching base regularly, quoting, invoicing
  • Ensures dispatch and delivery is at a same or next day** rate along with logistics coordinator {Or as agreed with Customers(s).}
  • Ensures all customers’ orders are “pulled” from the various locations
  • Confirm that goods are correctly dispatched to delivery trucks or walk-in customers.
  • Ensures correct items are loaded onto trucks and that invoices are in harmony with loaded goods.
  • Plans, executes and monitors the daily delivery runs to maximize use/efficiency of owned and contracted trucks/ trips.
  • Plans/executes special events including but not limited to periodic Sales/Promos events.

 

VEHICLES:

  • Ensure Motor Vehicle Fleet is adequately maintained/serviced/inspected as
  • needed.
  • Reports any mishaps and traffic accidents immediately to the MD and assists in the insurance/police matters.

 

HUMAN RESOURCES/STAFF RELATED:

  • Supervise and motivate staff ensuring good morale, satisfactory punctuality, and minimal absences.
  • Assists Human Resource Officer (HRO) to ensure new staff members are thoroughly oriented and apprised.
  • Train/retrain staff as needed.
  • Liaises with HRO as needed to ensure acceptable intervention for staff performance issues, and time and attendance.

 

PERIODIC PERFORMANCE REVIEWS

  • Maintains a working knowledge of computerized environment to facilitate the timely and accurate Generation and analysis of reports from accounting software for review with the MD for Key areas/accountabilities for: AR Summary, Monthly Sales (variance) analysis, B2B sales targets to actual results

 

MARKET FORCES

  • Obtaining market price comparisons when required by MD
  • Utilizes reports, industry trends and other performance data to make swift changes in operational activities to ensure the achievement of performance targets.

 

SAFETY:

  • Conducts him/herself in a safe and responsible manner at all times while on the compound in accordance with the Health, Safety and Environmental policies of the company.
  • Represent the Company as its OSHA Officer.
  • Is a member of the Health Safety Environment Committee.

 

GENERAL/OTHER:

  • Supports the development and maintenance of a team environment by performing other related duties.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate in Operations Management, Warehouse and Inventory Management
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar position
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Aware of Inventory Management software /applications.
  • Ability to use Social Media platforms to assist in promoting specials and sales events.
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
