The Terra Nova All Suite Hotel seeks to fill the position of Accounts Payable Officer.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE OFFICER

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
  • Pays vendors, schedule and prepare checks, and resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.
  • Issues stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Maintains historical records.
  • Disburses petty cash.
  • Reports sales taxes.
  • Reconciles sub-ledger to general ledger monthly
  • Inform supplier of details of payment.

Accounts Payable Officer Requirements:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus
  • Previous accounts payable experience preferred
  • Basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required
  • Attention to detail
  • Data entry skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to work with tight deadlines
  • Detail oriented, organized and possess excellent interpersonal skills
