Company in Mandeville looking for a BOOKKEEPER responsible for (but whose duties are not limited to) maintaining accurate A/P & A/R records, calculating and logging salespersons commissions, invoicing customers, assisting monthly closings and account analysis and carrying out other various responsibilities as needed. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess problem analysis and problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and keep filing system up to date.
• Using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft word , outlook, PowerPoint, excel, access etc. , to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases;
• Devising and maintaining office systems;
• Knowledgeable on how to invoice sales staff, in-house charge, and C.O.D. accounts and cashiering
• Liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts
• Ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment
• Sorting and distributing incoming post and organizing and sending outgoing post
• Organizing and storing paperwork, documents and computer based information
• Photocopying and printing various documents
• Answers of the PBX phone system and directing calls to the required departments
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Duties and Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• At least 3 years experience previous bookkeeping experience preferred
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
