Our client in the Insurance Industry located in Port of Spain is seeking to fill the position of an Assistant Accountant.

Salary range: 

Assistant Accountant- $8,500.00

Must have at least ACCA Level II or ACCA III completed 

JOB SUMMARY:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1.        Assist in the preparation of financial monthly reports.
2.        Review, approve and post General Ledger transactions.
3.        Prepare monthly variance reports on company operations.
4.        Assist in the preparation of corporate budgets.
5.        Approve all payments to suppliers/creditors.
6.        Reconciles corporate bank accounts monthly.
7.        Post approved General Ledger transactions.
8.        Process management payroll.
9.        Assist in the management of the company’s cash flow.
10.      Liaise with statutory bodies on behalf of the company (BIR, NIS)
11.      Supervise the subordinate staff of the Finance Department
12.      Perform other duties as required by the job function.
