Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager the Quality Assurance Officer works with other staff members to monitor, maintain and exceed the quality standards set by the company in the production of beverages.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager the Quality Assurance Officer works with other staff members to monitor, maintain and exceed the quality standards set by the company in the production of beverages.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct sampling and analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, in process samples and finished products as per the prescribed schedule.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing of raw materials, in process and finished products throughout the entire production process.
  • Analyze product attributes.
  • Conduct package quality inspection and quality audits and isolate product that does not meet required specifications and standards.
  • Monitor the production process to ensure conformance to product specifications.
  • Conduct weekly Good Manufacturing Practises (GMP) audits of the facility.
  • Maintain the highest possible housekeeping standards to prevent microbial contamination and pest prevention.
  • Inventory stock management for laboratory supplies.

 

Key Competencies & Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree or Laboratory Technician with a minimum 2 to 3 years work experience in in quality control
  • Minimum 1- year experiences in quality assurance
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise would be an asset
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
  • Working knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), ISO Standards would be an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
