As a data analyst, you will be key in troubleshooting data issues. The focus will be on operational data, so the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with already established patterns within varying subject areas is a must. A deep understanding of relational data is required.
JOB SUMMARY:
As a data analyst, you will be key in troubleshooting data issues. The focus will be on operational data, so the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with already established patterns within varying subject areas is a must. A deep understanding of relational data is required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
- Documenting data interfaces and data mappings; analyze and interpret data.
- Develop business and technical requirement documents for data operational purposes.
- Design and execute Data Quality checks.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure specifications are understood and followed.
- Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing; provide operational support for maintenance and enhancement solutions.
- Manage incidents for production and pre-production data issues.
- Become a subject matter expert across multiple subject areas.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in an applied quantitative discipline (Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics) from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum five years of experience working with data, including data sourcing, data analysis and data integration
- Excellent SQL skills to query SQL databases and experience with data analysis tools
- Deep understanding of run-time environments for data and application platforms; significant experience with MS Windows, MS SQL Server, Azure and MS development suite.
- Data Warehouse or Business Intelligence experience, including experience with data sourcing, data integration and data quality projects, as well as experience with sourcing from and into Big Data stores like Azure Data Lake.
