Role Summary

Working collaboratively with our client, Profiles Caribbean Inc. is seeking a Professional Salesperson to promote and sell within the context of an international event. The role requires contacting prospective clients and customers, delivering a perfect sales pitch, and achieving agreed sales targets.

Responsibilities Summary

  • Develop and update contact list to target prospective attendees.
  • Read materials provided and gain an understanding of the event’s goals, objectives and details.
  • Call potential clients/customers and follow up with leads that are not immediately reachable.
  • Make sales pitch per agreed wording, phrasing and details.
  • Courteously and professionally answer questions and address queries.
  • Actively pursue closing the sale by the end of the call.
  • Follow up whenever necessary to close sale.

 Requirements

  • A BSc in Marketing or a related field preferred

or

  • 3-5 years of proven sales that exceed targets and marketing experience.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Experience with sales prospecting
  • Excellent research skills to identify prospective attendees at the local and international levels
  • Ability to plan and organize personal sales strategy.
  • Ability to strategically plan daily/weekly schedule in order to maximize return on time investment and meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Proven skills to clearly communicate to prospective clients the features and benefits of products/services.
  • Highly developed assessment skills to determine client’s suitability for the products/services being offered.
  • Proven ability to promote event via the telephone.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Flexible and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrates drive, energy and a high sense of urgency.
  • Event planning experience would be an asset.
