​As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the technical delivery of our Azure Data Lakes (ADL) and Databricks development team. You will oversee all aspects of the development lifecycle.

JOB SUMMARY: 

In this role you will be responsible for managing and orchestrating data pipelines within Azure Data Lake, highlighting your expertise in leveraging cloud technology to harmonize and streamline data integration processes.

​As an Azure Data Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the technical delivery of our Azure Data Lakes (ADL) and Databricks development team. You will oversee all aspects of the development lifecycle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery

• Lead and mentor a growing group of engineers leveraging Azure Data Lake, Databricks and other Azure-based tools, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Provide technical oversight and expertise to the team, ensuring the design and implementation of scalable, efficient data processing pipelines and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and analysts to design data solutions that align with business requirements and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to optimize data processing performance and efficiencies utilizing tools and techniques available on the Azure platform.
• Estimation including effort, resources, and timelines, as well as planning and coordination of resources across internal and resource partner staff to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in an applied quantitative discipline (Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics) from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum seven years of experience, including experience with MS Azure, Databricks and Data factory
• Demonstrated experience across the systems development life cycle in all phases – plan, initiate, analyze, design, build, test, implement, operate.
• Proven experience managing and leading development teams with the Azure platform
• Experience with data manipulation and ETL using common languages like SQL and Python
• Knowledge of Agile deliveries and project management methodologies
