INTERNAL AUDITOR

The Development Bank of Jamaica Limited (DBJ) is desirous of engaging the services of an Internal Auditor to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services to augment its Audit Services Division.

INTERNAL AUDITOR (CONTRACT)

The Development Bank of Jamaica Limited (DBJ) is desirous of engaging the services of an Internal Auditor to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services to augment its Audit Services Division.  

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILTIES 

• Perform compliance reviews - Examine files and documents to verify /determine compliance with operational guidelines / rules in this regard. 
• Submit a Weekly Payment Verification report - The Contracted Internal Auditor will submit to the General Manager Audit Services, Payment Verification Audit Report for each batch completed. 
• Completion of the Worksheet – The Worksheet is to be completed and signed off on with the results of each payment submission verified. 

Duration & Estimated Time Input 

This is a full-time position for which a contract will be awarded for three (3) months and will be subject to periodic review, revision, and renewal.   

QUALIFICATIONS -   the required minimum qualifications, experience, and attributes: 

• BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.  
• Strong analytical skills; 
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and methods; and the ability to analyse and interpret data in a logical and efficient manner. 
• Computer literate with ability to manipulate spreadsheet applications and audit software, particularly the ACL 
• Must be confidential and tactful with excellent communication skills. 
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Internal or External Audit – preferably in the financial sector.
