Seeking a Suppression systems/ fire sprinkler systems Pipe fitter.

Our Client is looking for a Suppression systems/ fire sprinkler systems Pipe fitter who would be responsible for configuration, installation, fitting, and maintenance of various fire suppression piping systems, and to ensure smooth operation of those systems.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Installing and Working with CPVC Piping, Black Steel and Groove Pipe
  • Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions; creates working procedure based on specifications.
  • Fitting Industrial Carbon Steel, Stainless Pipe, CPVC Piping.
  • Grinding & Bevelling Pipe
  • Gathers equipment and materials for the job.
  • Laying out, welding, cutting, bending, threading, soldering, assembling and/or installing Pipe
  • Attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, or clamps, cuts or bores holes prior to project.
  • Pressure Test Pipe Systems to Ensure Safety and Functionality
  • Installs various types of insulation and pipe covering; safely removes and properly discards of old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and complies with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Coordinates with manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Installing, Modifying and Repairing Fluid Systems
  • Rebuilding Various Types of Pumps
  • Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Qualifications in a related or similar field will be an asset.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in Pipe Fitting
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective organization and planning skills.
  • Maintain an established work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Certificate of Character
  • Ability to drive Manual/Heavy T
  • Tools for the Trade
