Technician - Fire Detection / Suppression Systems

CLIENT is looking for a Technician who would be responsible for Fire Detection System / Suppression systems (hose reel, clean agent/ c02 systems)

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various fire suppression equipment, e.g., fire extinguishers, range hood extinguishing systems, and fire hoses
  • Provide excellent service to customers, building solid working relationships.
  • Prepare for jobs by reading site plans, specifications and ensuring all equipment is available.
  • Tests fire extinguishers; Inspects, repairs, and/or replaces fire hoses.
  • Installs cabinets for fire recall systems. 
  • Installs fire extinguishers in new or renovated facilities.
  • Fault finding and problem solving when attending call outs / break downs.
  • Provide on-site technical support and solutions to customers during both reactive and routine visits.
  • Complete all company paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements.
  • Be Flexible to work on call 24/7.
  • Advise customers on new products and services to improve efficiency.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Qualifications in a related or similar field will be an asset.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience
  • Vocational training in Fire Suppression Equipment and fire safety procedures.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective organization and planning skills.
  • Maintain an established work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Certificate of Character
  • Ability to drive Manual/Heavy T
